Exploring the Transformative Role of Blockchain in Healthcare Data Protection and Supply Chain Transparency

Abstract
Blockchain technology expanded its initial purpose as a cryptocurrency foundation to develop transformative systems that enable various virtual and physical applications. Various sectors currently face critical issues that blockchain technology can resolve optimally through its decentralization, immutability, and transparency properties. This paper quantifies blockchain technology's radical impact on supply chain management and healthcare through data security enhancements, operational system automatization, and community assurance improvement. Also, blockchain provides a safe storage and sharing of personal medical information, which minimizes the risks of breaches and unauthorized access. It improves the traceability of products in the supply chain to reduce the chances of counterfeits and ensure the authenticity of products. The use of blockchain in combination with IoT gadgets also enhances the surveillance and management of logistics functions. It is decentralized in nature and therefore it promotes accountability to all stakeholders in transactions. As a whole, blockchain can be described as a disruptive technology that can transform the concept of trust, efficiency, and resilience in the healthcare and supply chain systems.
