Abstract

The manual monitoring of fluid management by nurses in hospitals still frequently leads to delays, fluid overflow, and even blood loss. These kinds of outcomes are caused by poor management, and the hospital has many beds. This study suggests an automated fluid monitoring system based on the Internet of Things to address these issues. Our system continuously monitors fluid levels and notifies nurses in real time, saving time and enhancing patient safety. In this research, a novel fluid bag monitoring method that works in both large urban hospitals and resource-constrained settings is presented. Through a comparison of current solutions and available literature, we demonstrate how automated IoT platforms transform hospital workflow and overcome management constraints associated with manual systems.
