A Smart QR-based Food Ordering System with Dynamic Menu and Checkout Integration

Abstract
This paper presents the design and implementation of a web-based food ordering system that leverages modern web technologies and secure user authentication to streamline the dining experience. Customers can scan a static QR code to access a dynamic online menu, select food items, and add them to a cart. A unique, dynamic QR code is generated during checkout for order confirmation and payment processing. The system supports both dine-in and takeout options and ensures secure user handling using Clerk authentication. Technologies used include Next.js for frontend/backend integration, PostgreSQL for database management, and Clerk for secure user sessions.
