These systems are interconnected, and they frequently involve several data intermediaries, therefore layered security is required in addition to simple connection encryption. Moreover, the IIoT ecosystem’s heterogeneous hardware and software components don’t have standardized compatibility, which exacerbates security flaws. The identification and mitigation of hazards is crucial due to the vital function of industrial equipment and the rapid expansion of Internet of Things technologies. The objective of this research is to assess the suggested countermeasures described in previous studies and conduct a thorough analysis of the attack vectors targeting IIoT systems.
