Deep Learning Enabled Smart Wearables: A Review

Abstract
The ubiquitous acceptance of smart wearables provides a gold mine of real-time, personalized data that can be collected, processed and analyzed to give personalized insights and enhance Human Computer Interaction. The application domains of smart wearables are wide enough, and include critical areas such as remote medical sensing, as well as, comfortbased applications with the simple aim of enriching user experience and utility. This rich source of data along with its scope of application across various domains, demands the use of Artificial Intelligence techniques to provide thorough insights and recommendations. This report focuses on the existing methods of collection and processing of real-time data from smart wearables worn by the users, and the comparison of different Deep Learning algorithms that are used for the efficient analysis of this data. Additionally, the challenges with respect to the wearables is concerned is also touched upon.
