A Review on Performance Evaluation using Machine Learning Algorithms to Predict Cardiac Event for Diabetes

Authors

Abstract

Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) can cause life-threatening medical conditions such as stoke and brain damage or even sudden cardiac death. Previous research findings suggest that comorbidities such as diabetes associated with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) result in an increased risk of developing CVD. In contrast, other research findings suggest that there is no strong relationship between diabetes with NAFLD and increased risk of CVD. So far there is no consensus in the medical field about the appropriate medical care for patients with diabetes and with or without NAFLD. This review is concentrated on exploring different works where association between CVD with NAFLD for diabetes patients is shown. The aim of this research is to investigate whether diabetic patients with NAFLD have a higher risk of developing CVD than diabetic patients without NAFLD.
