Abstract
The rapid integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital collaboration technologies, and remote work systems has significantly transformed organizational communication medium, processes and business operations across industries. Despite improvements in communication accessibility and communication devices, organizations continue to experience communication-related challenges such as communication overload, delayed responses, technostress, cognitive fatigue, and reduced interpersonal interaction within virtual work environments. This study examines communication effectiveness as a strategic determinant of organizational performance in AI-driven remote workplaces. The research develops an integrated conceptual framework linking virtual leadership, AI-enabled communication systems, communication barriers, and organizational performance through the mediating role of communication effectiveness. The study adopts a quantitative and analytical research design supported by conceptual interpretation. Statistical techniques including descriptive analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) were conceptually incorporated to evaluate relationships among variables. The findings indicate that communication effectiveness significantly improves workflow coordination, employee engagement, service delivery, and organizational efficiency, while excessive digital communication contributes to communication overload and technostress. The study contributes a human-centred communication framework balancing technological efficiency with sustainable organizational communication practices in digitally integrated workplaces.
