Abstract

Hand – Effectively tracking medical equipment helps identify necessary workflow upgrades, supports continuity of patient care, and minimizes operational delays in the hospital setting. But the traditional manual tracking methods might show equipment loss, wastage of time and a high level of administrative skill. This paper presents an RFID-driven hospital equipment monitoring system, which can be combined with the real-time voice output system to enable hands-free immediate identification of medical equipment. The equipment is assigned a special RFID tags in the proposed method. The RFID readers can obtain tag information and access the location of an asset in the database of the system. Since detection has been determined, the voice announcement synthesis might pass a precise location with identified devices. Experimental testing demonstrated the accuracy of detection, latency of response and accessibility to users of simulated hospital conditions. Moreover, the meaningful outcomes proved that the integration of RFID technology with the automated voice feedback functionality can make the equipment more visible, and an impact might be made in reducing the work of clinical staff in search activities and increasing the efficiency of the operation process. In such a way, it seems that the developed system can offer quite viable solutions to healthcare institutions. Taking these findings into consideration, institutions could be interested in simplifying equipment handling and making sure that the necessary vital medical equipment is available on time.
