Comparative Evaluation of Machine Learning Models for Arrhythmia Detection on the MIT-BIH Arrhythmia Dataset

Abstract

The heart is one of the important organs for humans. It pumps blood and supplies it with nutrients to the different parts of the body. Hence, preserving a healthy heart is our necessity. Arrhythmia is an issue where heart’s pumping becomes abnormal which is analyzed using Electrocardiogram using ECG signals. The peaks present in the ECG graph are utilized to identify heart diseases and arrhythmia is analyzed using its R-peak. In this work, deep CNN has been implemented to detect arrhythmia.
