Enhancing Vehicle Safety with Intelligent Rain-Sensing Wiper Technology

The safety of drivers in bad weather still remains a significant issue in contemporary transportation systems. The manual control of windshield wipers may divert drivers’ attention, especially in the case of sudden rain. This may cause traffic accidents. To solve this problem, a rain-sensing windshield wiper control system is proposed. The rain sensor, Arduino, and servo motor are used in the proposed system. The experiment results show that the proposed rainsensing windshield wiper control system can work properly and can be considered as an alternative solution for improving driver safety and comfort.
