A Smart Web-based Agricultural Platform Integrating Predictive Analytics for Farmer Connectivity and Value Chain Enhancement

This research presents the development and evaluation of FarmLink, an innovative web-based platform designed to establish direct connections between agricultural producers and consumers through integrated predictive analytics. The platform eliminates traditional intermediary dependencies by enabling farmers to list their produce directly while providing consumers access to fresh agricultural products at transparent pricing. Our system incorporates a logistic regression-based classification module for produce categorization and a demand prediction component to provide market insights to farmers. The comprehensive evaluation on a representative dataset demonstrates balanced classification performance with training accuracy of 65% and testing accuracy of 64%. The platform features visualization dashboards for sales tracking, inventory management, and product provenance verification. This work contributes to reducing digital divides in rural agricultural communities while enhancing farmer profitability through direct market access.
