Privacy and Security in Cloud of Things: Concepts and Key Issues

Abstract
Cloud Computing and Internet of Things (IoT) collectively are known as Cloud of Things (CoT). CoT is the new standard of data management and services to the industry now. The integration of cloud computing with Internet of Things allows a smoother interface and high-speed data transactions fostering the creation of innovative applications in areas like smart homes, healthcare, and automated manufacturing systems. However, with the significant increase in network interactions and the number of connected devices, there are serious concerns arising about privacy and security. This paper explores that how CoT can be effectively utilized and privacy and security issues addressed. Major concerns about security and privacy issues include unauthorized access to sensitive information, data breaches, network attacks, and the ethical use of personal data. By addressing these challenges, this paper aims to propose a scalable CoT architecture that enhances user consent and system availability while maximizing security.
