Abstract

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) has now become an enabler of transformation in the field of digital narratives, providing innovative formats of interactive and customized storytelling. The paper describes the design and creation of AI-based interactive storytelling, and their use in video games and automated storytelling generation machines. The suggested system is a combination of three main parts including a natural text generation model to construct dynamic plots, a text-to-image synthesis network to illustrate the story, and a neural style transfer framework to improve the aesthetics of the narrative. The combination of these modules makes it possible to generate short stories and visual materials procedurally with a minimum of user-provided input and still ensure the coherence and interest of the narrative. The main aim of the system is to make the users feel immersed in adaptive virtual environments in which hypothetically their actions and choices have a direct impact on the plot development and the final result of the story. In addition, the paper researches the working principles of AIenabled storytelling, where the approaches to natural language processing, generative modeling, and neural rendering can be used dynamically to adjust plots, characters, and dialogs in real-time. The paper presents the advantages of such systems in providing greater interaction with the user and immersion in the narrative, the technical aspects of scalability, coherence, and personalization, and the perspectives of further research on the evolution of the AI-assisted interactive storytelling.
