Dissemination of Emergency Messages in Vehicular Networks

Vehicular Ad-hoc networks (VANETs) support the design and implementation of safety applications. These are more efficient and cost-effective and can be used in isolated places without Internet. In this paper, we propose a system where a notification can be sent to an ambulance in case of an accident and the ambulance reaches the spot in minimum possible time through the shortest path. The ambulance can notify the vehicles on the way of its arrival so that they take alternate paths to make way for the ambulance.
