Abstract
This study emphasizes the importance of improved resource management through virtualization and cloud com-puting. It provides an overview of virtualization, tracing its origins to the 1960s and examining its applications across various computing domains. It also delves into cloud computing services – Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) – as well as deployment models, including public, private, hybrid, and community clouds. The research addresses security challenges linked to virtualization, focusing on concerns like live migration and secure application interfacing. Additionally, it investigates emerging advancements, such as edge computing and artificial intelligence, that are set to transform cloud technology in the future.
