Abstract

This paper examines a novel approach to defining time in physics and evaluates the theoretical soundness of this idea across various domains often associated with the concept of time. The initial section addresses the common misconception that time is an independent quantity, using psychological proof to advocate for a redefinition in physics. Following this, the process of time perception is explored, thus leading to the derivation of a general formula for time perception. Subsequently, the new concept of time is applied to the phenomenon of time dilation, presenting a fresh perspective that challenges the notion of the constancy of the speed of light through proof by contradiction. A thought experiment is applied to clarify the misunderstanding regarding the relationship between entropy and time. In the final section, the potential for time travel is discussed, concluding that it may indeed be feasible.
