An Effective Assessment on Optimizing Airport Capacity Management Problems

Abstract
The process of determining the maximum amount of traffic that an airport network system can handle while talking into account resource limitation such fleet composition and node capacity known as capacity estimation and it is as recognized NP- hard issue. In airport operation, runaway systems are frequently the main source of congestion. Thus, it is crucial for airport operations to comprehend their capacity. Nevertheless, it is not easy to build this understanding because runaway system capacity (RSC) is not observable unlike demand or throughput. The purpose of this study is to gather pertinent data regarding the potential relationship between airline operations and air capacity management (ACM) optimization, while also taking the airline business model into account. Due to underdevelopment of the bigger airport facilities, the aviation sector has experienced tremendous growth in demand over the past 20 years with insufficient support in terms of supply. The findings show that the initial airport capacity of a city determines the proportionate size of its investment and the occupancy rate threshold at which investment occurs.
