Abstract
With the proliferation of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV’s) and drones in various domains the need for effective countermeasures has become important. Jamming of these is performed by transmitting a signal to the receiving antennas at the same frequency band. According to Gligor (2007) communication jamming strategies were first developed and used by the military. This interest comes from the fundamental area of rejecting the successful transport of the information from the sender to the receiver. In the bustling orchestra of the modern technoscape, where radio frequencies play their instruments, a dissonant note emerges: jamming. This paper delves into the potent fusion of radio frequency jamming (RFJ) and signal jamming, exploring their technical intricacies, diverse applications, and ethical and legal complexities. From shielding military maneuvers to quelling unruly crowds, from censoring broadcasts to protecting privacy, the objectives of jamming paint a multifaceted picture. However, we emphasize that maintaining a well-managed airwaves network is crucial for ensuring safety, promoting free expression, and supporting critical infrastructure. By preventing congestion and ensuring robust communication, we can save lives, uphold the right to dissent, and sustain essential services.
