Abstract

Modern agriculture is faced with one of the most challenging problems of all time: maximizing crop yields and preserving precious water resources at the same time. As a response to this issue, this research paper explores the integration of Cloud and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies into drip irrigation systems. A unique approach utilizing sensors, remote monitoring, and advanced analytics will significantly increase the productivity of agriculture while also ensuring that water is used efficiently. The purpose of this research is to examine the crucial role IoT devices play in data collection and transmission, as well as the use of cloud platforms for storing, analyzing, and gaining actionable insights based on the collected data using advanced analytics techniques. The goal of this article is to provide a comprehensive overview of the benefits as well as possible challenges that cloud-based and IoT-based drip irrigation systems present, thus paving the way for sustainable, data-driven agriculture that will lead to improved crop yields in the future, based on a systematic review of relevant literature.
