Abstract
The last wave of cyberattacks has shown how important data security and the development of advanced encryption methods are to society. Regrettably, the commonly employed conventional encryption techniques of today, such SHA, DES, and AES, are starting to become inadequate in safeguarding confidential information from unauthorized access. The current research focuses on the topic of whether homomorphic encryption protects data security better than traditional techniques. Homomorphic encryption has an advantage over its predecessors because of the special method it allows computation on encrypted data, which lowers the risk of data breaches during the decryption process. This research paper provides an in-depth review of the principles and comparative benefits, indicating that homomorphic encryption might be a helpful instrument for improving security and protecting privacy against modern dangers. Because of its special characteristics, homomorphic encryption is basically a kind of encryption that may be added to the toolkit of modern encryption techniques to solve the problem of data breaches and unauthorized access.
