Improving Image Compression by Optimizing Fractal Encoding using DCT-based Classification

This paper introduces two fractal image compression methods in the DCT domain. The first method eliminates domain block coordinate encoding, enhancing efficiency with small range blocks. The second reduces encoding time using domain pool reduction and preset contrast scaling. Both methods achieve superior performance and faster encoding with high visual quality.
