Abstract

This paper proposes an innovative IoT-based crop monitoring system using the ESP8266 microcontroller along with a variety of sensors. Soil moisture, temperature, humidity, and light intensity sensors have been integrated for real-time environment data collection, essential for the growth of crops. Data processing occurs through the ESP8266, and the output is obtained on a screen with instant access. Besides, the Blynk cloud platform is used to provide distant monitoring and data analysis of the IoT system. This holistic approach will perhaps revolutionise agriculture through the accurate prediction of crops through inherent environmental factors, yielding vital time- sensitive inputs for significant influences in crop development processes.
