Review on Advanced Techniques and Smart IoT Systems for Irrigation Management of Single and Multi- Crops

Irrigation is the important process in the agriculture that has to supply required amount of water to the crop field and also need to optimize the water usage due to water scarcity and water shortages present. Nevertheless, the growing population needs more crops needs to be cultivated throughout the year needs enhanced agriculture systems to function. It is very difficult for the farmer or labors to give their full efforts for very large cultivating region round the clock. So, the smart irrigation system has evolved that uses recent techniques and senses the temperature, pressure, moisture content in soil and humidity and water the crops based on their needs. This paper surveys different topics of smart irrigation based on Machine Learning, IoT systems, WSN, hybrid techniques, Single-Crop and Multi-Crop cultivation, Irrigation requirement analysis, and its evaluation parameter metrics. Analysis of different frameworks of smart irrigation systems also presented with perceptional approach.
