Integration of Artificial Intelligence into Supply Chain Operations to Achieve Sustainability

Supply chain management includes several functions including acquiring raw materials, storing goods, production, and distribution. All the functions to operate a business, and its related aspects are carried out under the supply chain. These functions were earlier done through some conventional methods using machines and humans. Integrating AI into the supply chain has opened new prospects for improving the industrial process and making it more sustainable. Though the benefits of AI are limitless, it is equally important to navigate the complexities involved in its integration. This paper will discuss the role of AI in the supply chain, identify barriers to its implementation, and make it sustainable. This paper will support further research in using AI for supply chain operations.
