Abstract
This paper presents a study on the feasibility of repurposing electronic waste (ewaste) for use in 3D printing. With the rise of additive manufacturing and increased electronic device disposal, e-waste recycling has gained attention as a sustainable source of materials. The research aims to create a practical workflow for converting specific types of e-waste—primarily plastics and metals—into filament suitable for 3D printing. Through an analysis of material characteristics, mechanical properties, and the environmental impact, this study outlines potential benefits and challenges of using e-waste-based filaments. Initial findings suggest that recycled e-waste materials can be transformed into viable 3D printing filaments, supporting the circular economy and reducing ecological footprints in manufacturing. The matter presented in this article is the review of group of papers and is the summary of those papers which was submitted in the form of an assignment / as an alternate assessment tool / case study.
