Abstract
The global rise in electronic and electrical waste (e-waste) presents a critical challenge to environmental sustainability, particularly with the increasing use of electrical equipment. From household appliances to industrial machinery, electrical waste contributes to toxic environmental hazards and resource depletion when improperly managed. This paper focuses on the management of e-waste specific to electrical equipment, exploring current practices, innovative recycling methods, and policy recommendations to enhance sustainability. By examining key challenges such as economic barriers, technical constraints, and regulatory gaps, alongside emerging technologies in recycling and reuse, this paper aims to provide a comprehensive solution framework. A focus on the integration of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) in the e-waste recycling process highlights the potential for improving resource recovery and promoting the circular economy.
