ELLE: An AI-Powered Chatbot for PersonalizedLearning Experiences for Kids

This research paper explores the development and implementation of an AI-powered chatbot, named ‘Elle’, designed specifically for children aged 3 to 7 years. With the increasing integration of artificial intelligence in education, this study addresses the gap in effective Aidriven educational tools tailored for young learners. Elle offers interactive and personalized learning experiences, incorporating features such as voice intercation, rhymes and a drawing whiteboard to promote cognitive and creative development. Utilizing the Mixtral model and GROQ API, the chatbot generates engaging conversation and delivers age-appropriate content, enhancing children’s language skills and understanding of basic concepts. While the chatbot presents significant educational benefits, limitations such as reliance on internet connectivity and the absence of emotional intelligence are acknowledged.
