Abstract

Along with being under public surveillance, having budget limitations, and maintaining safety, one of the crucial responsibilities of the police force includes enhancing police performance and optimize resource allocation. It has been observed that a major issue faced to improve the performance is improper utilization of police resources. This study offers a data-driven approach that integrates live data using Firebase and StreamLit along with Microsoft Power BI to improve police performance and resource allocation. Using data from the Karnataka Hackathon, and deriving visualizations for the analysis of the data can further help for proper police resource allocation. The main aim of the analysis of these visualizations is to identify the various factors that can help to increase the efficiency of police and for proper resource allocation in real time. Proper police allocation can lead to reduced response time, the presence of officers in critical areas, and therefore reducing the crime rates, ultimately increasing police performance. This research emphasizes how data analysis using live data can help to make informed, evidence-based decisions.
