Abstract
In the course of the demi-decade, there has been tremendous and significant growth in the field of scientific research based on Artificial Intelligence Capable Autonomous Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) i.e. drones. Implementing artificial intelligence for drones is a combination of mechanical devices, navigational instruments, and machine vision. The major challenge today is the advancement of autonomously operating aerial vehicles that are capable of completing given tasks without human intervention. The motive/aim of this article is to provide an exhaustive overview of vision-based applications mainly focusing on UAV-based delivery systems. This application can be categorized into several domains that include the physical design of UAVs so as to be customized for delivery systems, path-planning, real-time target tracking, navigation using Machine learning and Computer Vision, pedestrian detection, and their algorithms. Furthermore, a unique combination of truck-drone and train-drone delivery methodologies will be discussed briefly.
