Future of 5G Storage Networking and its Effects

Abstract
The onus for data transmission has shifted to customers in the current age of wireless communication. Modern mobile networks all across the globe use the most recent advancement in wireless communication technology, known as Fifth Generation (5G). These days, 5G is all the rage because to its well-known fast speed and minimal latency. With 5G, more devices may be connected at once. 5G has more capacity than its forerunners, 4G VoLTE and 4G LTE. The frequency bands used by 5G are more extensive, including high-band, midband, and low-band. To facilitate the creation of several virtual networks on a common physical 5G infrastructure, the notion of Network Slicing is introduced by 5G. Each slice is considered to be an independent virtual network with its own set of resources and capabilities, and it is believed that each slice will fulfill the criteria. A paradigm change in data storage, processing, and management in a wireless network is shown by 5G's edge computing. Edge computing allows us to relocate storage and processing power closer to the data source, at the network's periphery, rather of relying on centralized cloud data centers. The most recent developments in 5g and their effects on storage networking are discussed in this article.
