Abstract
This paper is a comprehensive review of Modified Gate Diffusion Input (mGDI) technology and its use in Programmable Frequency Divider Design. A modified version of the original Gate Diffusion Input (GDI) technique, mGDI technology has generated much interest as it can optimize area, increase speed, and reduce power consumption in digital circuits. This study methodically explains the development of mGDI technology its basic concepts that guide its functioning, and its particular use in programmable frequency dividers. Furthermore, the paper present a thorough examination of different design strategies, simulation outcomes, performance comparisons, and implementation challenges. Lastly an overview of current research initiatives, forthcoming developments, and possible future approaches for mGDI technology in programmable frequency dividers are covered in the conclusion.
