Reflection of Plane Waves with Two Temperature and Initial Stress in Nonlocal Thermo Elasticity without Energy Dissipation

Abstract

In this paper the governing equations of plane wave in non-local thermoelastic solid half space with initial stress and two temperature is derived. The governing equations of the plane harmonic wave are solved in the x-y plane obtain the three different waves namely thermal wave, P-wave and SV- wave with distinct speeds. Appropriate potential for incident and reflected waves are formulated which satisfies the boundary condition on solid half space. The phase speed and reflection coefficient are computed for a relevant material parameter. The effect of phase speed and reflection coefficient are plotted on the frequency and the effect of reflection coefficient are also plotted at angle of incidence.
