Abstract
MedBlock is a pioneering solution designed to address the critical challenges in contemporary health record management by leveraging blockchain and InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) technologies. This decentralized health record storage system ensures data integrity, security, and user privacy through innovative encryption mechanisms. The blockchain component, based on Ethereum, establishes a tamper-resistant ledger, while IPFS provides a decentralized and distributed file storage infrastructure. Access control mechanisms guarantee that only authorized individuals can retrieve health records, ensuring stringent privacy standards. The user-friendly interface enhances the overall experience, making health record access and management seamless. Through rigorous evaluation, MedBlock demonstrates superior security measures and promising performance metrics, positioning itself as a robust solution for the future of decentralized health record storage. This paper outlines the architecture, implementation details, security measures, user interface, evaluation results, and future enhancements of MedBlock, contributing to the ongoing discourse on blockchain applications in healthcare.
