Abstract

This paper offers a comprehensive survey of diverse classifications related to the Areca Nut while focusing on disease detection within Areca Nut crops. Areca Nut, a significant economic crop in various tropical regions, faces numerous classification systems based on botanical, geographical, and morphological aspects. This study delves into these classifications, exploring their implications and contributions to understanding the Areca Nut's taxonomy and cultivation. Furthermore, the paper addresses a critical concern affecting Areca Nut cultivation: disease detection. Given the susceptibility of Areca Nut crops to various diseases that can significantly impact yield and quality, the research emphasizes the development and implementation of effective disease detection methodologies. By evaluating existing techniques and exploring innovative approaches, the study aims to propose reliable and efficient strategies for early disease identification in Areca Nut plantations. Through this dual focus on classification systems and disease detection, the paper seeks to provide valuable insights essential for enhancing cultivation practices, mitigating risks associated with diseases, and ensuring sustainable production of this economically important crop.
