Design and Implementation of a Scalable IoT based Vehicle Tracking System

Transport always did play a significant role in shaping how humans developed over the millennia. Movement of goods or people from source to destination has always been the primary goal offered, and it was always improved over centuries. There have been always due improvements and modern transportation systems have come a long way, however there are still challenges that need to be addressed. In this paper we present an optimized micro services based backend system with a cross platform mobile application built on Flutter for tracking a transport vehicle. The proposed database design and the mobile application, excel in all the areas of scalability, security, reliability, speed, compatibility, integration and cost effectiveness and proposes a new method of cheap and effective system development than the existing systems
