Abstract

One-time passwords (OTPs) are commonly used to provide an extra layer of security for online accounts and transactions. However, traditional OTPs can be vulnerable to attacks, such as phishing and interception, that can compromise their integrity. In this research paper, we propose a new approach using keystroke dynamics, a biometric method of identifying individuals based on the way they type on a keyboard. By analysing the timing and duration of keystrokes, as well as the cadence and rhythm of typing, we can generate unique patterns that are specific to each user. To further enhance security, we also integrate our system with a firewall, which can block unauthorised access to the server and prevent attacks that attempt to exploit vulnerabilities in the authentication process. We evaluate the effectiveness of our approach through a series of experiments and demonstrate that it can provide a secure and user- friendly alternative to traditional OTPs
