Risk Assessment of Chronic Kidney Disease

The pervasiveness of chronic kidney disease (CKD), an international health concern is rising primarily as a result of rising rates of hypertension and diabetes. Furthermore, people who are suffering from CKD may develop end-stage renal failure if their condition is not managed. Finding those who have undiagnosed CKD or who have a higher chance of getting CKD or progressing to End-Stage Renal Kidney Disease (ESKD) is thus a significant concern. For generating risk-predicting models that can precisely predict CKD in adults or end-stage renal failure, some appropriate methods have to be accompanied and if inappropriate methods are used, it can affect the predictive capability of the models. In this paper, an attempt is made to high-point the significance of disease related parameters in the neuropsychological assessment of individuals with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and discuss the summary of the research done in this area
