Adaptive MPPT Control Approach for Solar PV System

Three different maximum power point tracking controllers are implemented for a solar photovoltaic system. The MPPTs are based on conventional perturb and observe particle swarm optimization and adaptive LMS algorithm. The adaptive MPPT algorithm is developed based on LMS adaptive algorithm. The studied controllers with the system are implemented on MATLAB. The performance is measured in terms of the settling time, peak overshoot, and oscillation. It is observed the system operation is smooth and steady with adaptive controllers.
