Abstract

In the present information age, there’s been an increase in the use of social media, as a result, there has been a parallel increase in cyberbullying instances. Cyberbullying can cause many drastic and negative impacts on a person’s life, eventually leading to depression or suicide. Detection and prevention of such comments/posts are very difficult as the model used must be reliable. These traditional models may sometimes lead to false detection. With the arrival of contextual embeddings into the scene, the performance of Natural Language Processing (NLP) models has significantly increased. We propose a solution to cyberbullying by building an extension that uses a deep learning model in the back to detect and hide these toxic comments from the user.
