Abstract
The potential of blockchain technology to disrupt several industries, including
agriculture, has garnered significant interest in recent times. Using the capabilities of
Ethereum, a decentralized platform, a dApp (decentralized application) can be developed for
achieving agricultural chain's traceability, efficiency, and transparency. The core component of
our dApp is smart contracts. Smart contracts, which are self-executing, contain clear contract
requirements embedded into their code. These contracts are kept on the Ethereum network and
come into effect automatically upon the satisfaction of specific conditions. The afro supplychain
dApp may automate and streamline a number of tasks, including quality control, payment
settlements, and logistics tracking, by utilising smart contracts.
