Abstract
The number of various recognized strokes in shuttle badminton was counted in a
game of best of 3 for table tennis scoring (max 21points) in an indoor court situated in SS
Puram Tumkur. The probability and the trajectory of the different kind of shots have been
clearly discussed with sufficient data. The connection between the rotation rate and Reynolds
number and its inclination for all shuttlecocks was presented. The transfer of energy plays a
significant role in the performance of a wide variety of human motions, including high speed
movements such as strokes, pitches, and kicks has been discussed from the review of many
investigations. The most relevant equation for finding the trajectory of the shuttlecock has been
suggested. A keen observation was made in distinguishing plastic and feathered shuttlecock
with respect to center of mass and the point of application of force. The various center of mass
and point of application of force leads to the unique stabilizing aerodynamic torque on the
shuttlecock and its flip.
