Abstract
This article's goal is to give some theoretical context for the OFDM transmission
method. We go over the block diagram for a "classic" OFDM system, which uses a GI to lessen
multipath radio channel impairments. In addition, we deduce the mathematical model for an
idealized system and explore several hardware-related design issues, culminating in the
conclusion that data symbols can be transferred independently of one another [that is, without
intercarrier interference (ICI) and ISI]. Additionally, the consequences of synchronization
flaws, such as timing problems and carrier frequency and phase offsets, are examined. It is
possible to assess both coherent and differential detection techniques for Rayleigh and Rician
fading channels. Additionally, we demonstrate differential detection in time direction for the
system proposal under consideration.
