Abstract

This article is based on research on electromagnetic interference (EMI), EMI shielding is a process that protects electrical equipment from interference from magnetic and electric fields. In this work conducting polymer composite films were made using the solvent casting process, for this a polymer named as poly(vinylidene fluoride-cotrifluoroethylene)[ P(VDF-TrFE)], is combined with Graphite (Gr), a conducting polymer, and Ionic Liquid (IL). Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) is utilized to study and characterize the produced film. Between 10 kHz to 10 MHz, the EMI shielding efficacy was measured. The film underwent tensile strength testing for an examination of its toughness and hardness. The developed film was made from easily available materials and proves to be a good shielding effectiveness film for electronic equipments with an elongation of about 15%.
