Abstract
In this paper, we explore the potential of microwave imaging as a safer and more
effective alternative to X-ray mammography for early breast cancer detection. Breast cancer has
affected women in big time underscoring the need for improved screening methods. X-ray
mammography, the current standard, has limitations such as missed detections due to poor
contrast between malignant and benign tissue and radiation exposure. We present a study on the
effects 1*8 array antenna connected with breast phantom.. resonant frequency is 2.4 GHz and a
return loss of less than -35 dB.. Our results demonstrate that this antenna design shows improved
characteristics compared to existing designs in the literature, making it a promising tool for
breast tumor detection.
