The challenge in the agricultural sector is that the number of young farmers is
conseiderably decreasing. Therefore, it is important to ensure the affectivity of regeneration in
the agricultural sector. Millennial farmers have great potency to increase agricultural
productivity and welfare, but they face obstacles to capital, access to land, technology and
markets. The role of the private sector through the Corporate Social Responsibility program is
highly expected to support the sustainability of the agricultural sector. This research aims to
determine the role of stakeholders, obstacles, governance and effectiveness of the Indomaret
CSR Program in empowering Sleman Millennial Farmers. This research uses a qualitative
descriptive approach and the Miles and Huberman model data analysis technique. The research
results show that the Indomaret CSR Program involves Indomaret as a fund provider, the
Sleman Regency Government, Gadjah Mada University, and Millennial Farmers. The biggest
obstacle to implementing the Indomaret CSR Program is related to the cultivation of seedless
watermelons. The Indomaret CSR Governance Program for Sleman Millennial Farmers has
gone through the planning, coordination, implementation and control stages but is not yet
effective.
