Abstract

In Indonesia there has been an increase in traffic accidents, which are dominated by motorbikes. Therefore, it is important to conduct a study regarding ownership of a motorbike driving license (DL), considering that some people obtain DL through the services of brokers. This research was conducted in Yogyakarta in July 2023 through a survey of 200 respondents who owned motorbikes who had DL. The research results showed that the majority of respondents were male, aged 30 years or under, had a minimum of high school education, had an income of under 1.5 million and had their own motorbike. There are 74% of respondents who use broker services to get DL. It was concluded that DL ownership had nothing to do with driving skills. It is recommended that further research be carried out regarding the relationship between traffic accidents and the type of DL acquisition.
