Abstract

In this advancing world, the demand for data storage is growing day by day. So, there is a need for a secure and affordable data storage system. Here is the study of multiple ways to store the data such as cloud-based storage systems, and decentralised storage. The study examines the architectural features, advantages, and drawbacks of both blockchain technology and traditional centralized storage systems. It outlines the way decentralised storage operates and compares it with another centralized storage system not only in the aspect of security but also in reduced reliance on centralized authorities and improved data accessibility. It discusses the ongoing research on integrated storage techniques and decentralised networks. It also discusses new technologies such as IPFS.
