Abstract

The present research article deals with two-dimensional deformation in a microellongated functionally graded layer of finite thickness 2p which is immersed in an infinite nonviscous fluid. A mechanical force of magnitude P is applied along the interface of two medium. The mechanical properties of functionally graded medium are taken to be in x direction. The analytical expressions for displacement, temperature, micro-elongation, stresses are obtained by using normal mode technique.
