Abstract

Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs) are a decentralised, straightforward network with a variety of uses. However, there are a number of gaps in the area of WMNs that have an impact on how well they perform. Changes in the topology of the networks and poor connection quality are the key issues affecting these networks. We suggest a hybrid meta-heuristic (SAR-HM)-based security conscious routing strategy for wireless mesh networks to address such issues.. For clustering mesh clients in SAR-HM, we provide the multi-point Hoopoe heuristic optimization (MHHO) approach. Then, we demonstrate how to determine each client's trust level in the cluster using the improved pattern search (IPS) technique. In terms of throughput, end-to-end delay, packet delivery ratio, and jitter, the performance of the proposed SAR-HM protocol is examined. The results are then contrasted with those of the current state-of-the-art routing protocols. It is an outgrowth of our prior work
