Abstract

Hand Gesture Recognition (HGR) plays a pivotal role in human-computer interaction, driven by advancements in computational intelligence, sensor technologies, and computer vision. This progress is the outcome of extensive research and development, with multiple notable works in the field. This journal offers a comprehensive analysis of computational intelligence aspects related to HGR, shedding light on emerging trends and methodologies. Review focuses on visionbased HGR using RGB-Depth sensors, critically evaluating existing approaches and exploring the potential of depth information to enhance system accuracy and robustness. We also explore the application of HGR for seamless human-computer interaction, highlighting novel techniques and approaches to enhance system efficiency and usability
